Precision Technologies Inc. opened for business on a full time basis in 1987. Prior to this, the owner, James Harwood, had operated the company as a part time venture while working at Reuter Inc, a Hopkins based manufacturer of computer disc drives. Through the 70´s and 80´s the manufacture of computer disc drives required cutting edge technology to consistently produce the close tolerances demanded by this field. The knowledge that James acquired during his time in this industry has formed the foundation of Precision Technologies´ high standards and commitment to quality. High production, at lower costs, while maintaining traceable consistency of manufacture is Precision Tech´s strong suit. These high standards have paved the way into industries such as the manufacture of blood filter holders and other operating theater accessories, vacuum pump rotors, inflation valves for life rafts and locking devices for the safe administration of drugs and medicines, to name a few.
On October 1st 2006 Precision Technologies Inc opened it´s new 10,000 sq. ft. facility at 210 Dundas Rd here in Monticello. This move has greatly increased our ability to respond to our growing customer needs. Precision Tech currently has nine full time employees and plans to add several more in the near future.
